Sarah Michael McNeese

Sarah Michael McNeese is a proud North Carolinian who has earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Appalachian State University in 2019 and a Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University in 2023. Sarah Michael is passionate about advocating systematically and creating resource pathways not only for individuals in need, but also the varied the providers throughout our state who serve them.
Throughout her career she has utilized her practice to provide operations support to NAMI Wake County’s mental health services, allocated equitable programming to American Indian populations with the NC Commission of Indian Affairs through a lens of cultural humility, and created training & technical assistance materials for grantee agencies throughout the state addressing interpersonal violence. In addition to her work with the Commission, she serves as the Board Secretary for the North Carolina Coalition Against Human Trafficking and works contractually with the non-profit, Shield NC, to provide training on the varied exploitative practices of human trafficking to the Piedmont.
