Catherine Johnson is the President and CEO of Alliance for HOPE International, one of the nation’s leading organizations focused on creating hope-centered, trauma-informed responses for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. Alliance for HOPE International supports a global network of Family Justice Centers, Camp HOPE America, the Training Institute on Strangulation Prevention, DomesticShelters.org, and the Justice Institute on Hidden Homicides.

Before assuming this national leadership role, Catherine served as the Founding Director of the Guilford County Family Justice Center in North Carolina, which has served more than 100,000 individuals since opening in 2015 and has been nationally recognized for its collaborative model. She also launched the North Carolina Family Justice Center and Collaborative Communities Conference, a statewide event strengthening multidisciplinary responses to violence and trauma.

A licensed marriage and family therapist, Catherine holds a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She serves on several state and community boards and has received numerous honors, including the North Carolina Dogwood Award, the Outstanding Practitioner of the Year Award, and the Outstanding Women in Business Award from the Triad Business Journal.
