Andrew S. Durham is a Staff Attorney for the Commission.

Andrew grew up in South Carolina and graduated from the College of Charleston in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. After undergrad, he obtained a Master of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from New York University in 2012.

Andrew went to law school at Tulane University and graduated in 2016. After law school, he clerked for a federal Magistrate Judge in the Southern District of New York before becoming an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, NY, where he worked for seven years in the Domestic Violence and Appeals Bureaus. Andrew moved to North Carolina in 2023 and clerked for a federal Magistrate Judge in the Middle District of North Carolina before beginning work with the Commission in 2024.

Andrew is a member of the state bars of North Carolina and New York and is admitted to practice federally in the Middle District of North Carolina and the Eastern District of New York.
