Mackenzie Myers

Mackenzie is the Grant Legal Investigator with the Innocence Inquiry Commission. Prior to working for the Commission, Mackenzie worked primarily in the domestic violence field in various advocacy capacities, including for the YWCA Central Alabama and the Guilford County Family Justice Center, and is specially trained in non-fatal strangulation.

Mackenzie graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre and Public Policy and Community Service, and obtained her law degree from Elon University School of Law in 2016. During her tenure in law school, Mackenzie interned in the Guilford County District Attorney’s Office in Greensboro, NC and in the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office in Birmingham, AL. Mackenzie tirelessly volunteered with Elon Law’s Innocence Project throughout her law school career, where she served as Vice President and President.
